I purchased my Estes ProwlerTM on Tuesday, November
10, 1998 and completed its construction on Friday, November 27, 1998.
I launched the ProwlerTM twice on Saturday, November 28 using
Estes C5-3 engines. The rocket achieved excellent height, deployed
its parachute, and returned slowly toward earth. The recovery was
interrupted by a small tree during the first flight. The rocket was
recovered from the tree. In an effort to avoid the short trees on the
southern end of the field, I adjusted the launch pad slightly toward
the north. During recovery of the second flight, the rocket drifted too
far north and got stuck in a 50-60 foot pine tree. On December 5, the
rocket was no longer in the tree or on the ground surrounding the tree.
If you find this rocket, please let me know by sending mail to forrest@greenbackacres.com.
